SOURCE’S Kid SHOCKING Rock’s CLAIM: a Cheater!
The music star had a nearly 10-year affair while dating the woman he proposed to last year
According to Kid Rock, he’s finally been tamed. “Life is so much simpler being with one girl,” the music star has said of girlfriend Audrey Berry, to whom he proposed in early 2017 after nine years of dating. “Now that I’m not chasing chicks around I’ve got so much more free time.”
But he hasn’t exactly given up all the chicks. In Touch has exclusively learned that the musician has been carrying on a lengthy relationship with Kayti Edwards, 41 — the granddaughter of Sound of Music star Julie Andrews — behind his fiancée’s back. “This has been going on for nearly 10 years,” a source tells In Touch, revealing that Kid Rock (real name: Robert “Bob” Ritchie), 47, first met Kayti, then a single mom who’s now married, not long after he’d divorced Pamela Anderson and started seeing Audrey. “Whenever Bob and Kayti saw each other, they’d have sex — sometimes it was five times in a row!
[For years] he was her side guy, and she was his side girl.”
Kayti met Kid Rock in May 2008 when she joined a group of friends, one of whom knew the musician’s tour manager, at one of his Florida concerts. Afterward, they went backstage to meet the Detroit-based rocker and were invited to an alcohol-fueled afterparty. Kayti and Kid Rock hit it off and got physical on his bus as it drove to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. “They had crazy, wild, drunk, fun sex that first night,” says the source, adding that it lasted an hour. “It was intense, ripping-clothesoff, groping, biting, hairpulling, aggressive sex.” Afterward, “he spooned and cuddled her. They showered together. [She then] stayed with him for eight days while he was touring.” When they checked into the Hard Rock, they spent the day by the pool drinking whiskey ( him) and Corona ( her), before going back to his room for more sex and a nap. At one point, “Bob also handed her a wad of cash, all hundreds, and said, ‘Go shopping,’” says the source, adding that “he never told her he was dating anyone,” though Kayti soon learned he had a girlfriend named Audrey back home.
PRAYER BEFORE SEX
The second night they were together, the musician surprised Kayti with an unusual request. “He asked her if she was religious and told her it’s good to pray sometimes. They kneeled down by the bed and he prayed that he was thankful for his life, his successful career, for traveling and everything he had and asked God to keep his loved ones safe,” says the source. “Then they got into bed and had sex.” When they parted ways a week later in Ohio, he bought her a plane ticket to New York to visit her famous grandmother, gave her his number and kissed her goodbye.
AFFAIR EXPOSED
About a year later, they started meeting up again. “She’d see him randomly about once or twice a year. They always kept in touch,” says the source, explaining that Kid Rock and Kayti texted and usually saw each other in Malibu, where he had a home. About a year and a half ago, says the source, Audrey found out about the affair while going through his phone and texted Kayti, warning her she’d “always be somebody on the side,” says the source. Kayti admitted to Audrey that “she’d slept with him” and told her to “take it up with her man.” ( When reached by In Touch, Kayti declined to comment.)
But Kid Rock didn’t stay away. “He would always pop up,” claims the source, adding that the two last had sex in September 2016 but continued to communicate “once every few months. Kayti seemed to be the one he kept coming back to, unless he had others on rotation too.” They last spoke a few months ago. Kid Rock is currently on his American Rock N Roll Tour, and the source believes it will take a lot of willpower for him to stay faithful to Audrey. “He’s always going to have women throwing themselves at him,” warns the source. “But she’s marrying Kid Rock. What does she expect?” ◼
