Amy Schumer stuns fans with surprise wedding pics on social media
No, it’s not a joke — Amy Schumer really is a married woman! Fans were shocked when the comedian revealed on Feb. 15 that she had tied the knot with chef Chris Fischer. She casually confirmed the news with a gallery of photos from the big day on Instagram, capping it by simply saying “Yup.” Last year, Amy was more explicit about how happy marriage would make her. “I love the idea of committing to someone and making that choice,” she said.
And on Feb. 13, that’s exactly what she did. Amy, 36, and Chris, 38, exchanged vows (which they wrote themselves) in a supersecret ceremony at a private Malibu estate in front of 80 guests — most of whom were reportedly only invited a few days beforehand via text message! The short notice had no impact on making the day special. “It was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time,” Amy’s pal Jennifer Lawrence gushed. “I was sobbing. His vows were stunning. When two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows.”

The Trainwreck star definitely found the one. “She might have a glamorous career, but at heart she’s just a fun girl,” a source tells In Touch. “Chris is the perfect match for her.” Amy met the Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.– based James Beard Award winner through his sister, who happens to be her personal assistant. The pair were spotted on a dinner date back in November, but maintained an extremely low profile in the months to come. Amy finally confirmed the romance on social media only days before they tied the knot!
“The best thing about them is that they really are so normal,” says the source. “It’s like the two most popular kids in high school got married. It was one of the best weddings ever!” ◼
