THEY’RE ONE BIG, HAPPY BLENDED FAMILY!

-

There’s one thing Jennifer and Alex won’t have to worry about once they’re officially husband and wife: combining their families. “Our kids love each other,” Jennifer said in April of her twins, Emme and Max, and Alex’s girls, Natasha and Ella. The superstars’ kids already carpool to school, spend holidays together and attend each other’s dance recitals. Alex also has gushed about how much his daughters adore Jennifer, who clearly breaks the mean-stepmother stereotype. “She is such a great role model,” he said in 2017. “They look at her like she’s the Messiah.”

blurted out the same thing: ‘ Who are we kidding?’ They cracked up laughing, realizing they don’t do anything small,” says the insider. Expect more than 250 guests and a blowout celebration. “It’s a nobrainer that they’ll have a massive wedding. No expense will be spared — it’s going to be over-thetop, easily 10 million dollars.” In addition to picking the rings, the dress, the location and the menu, Jennifer, 49, and Alex, 43, have

another huge surprise in store

for their friends and families: “They want to have a baby,” says the insider, even though at nearly 50, Jennifer thinks it would be “a miracle” at her age.

GOING ALL-OUT Everything is falling into place. The retired Yankees legend has already given Jennifer — whose NBC series, Shades of Blue, just ended its threeseason run — what he jokingly likes to call a few “starter engagement rings,” says the insider. But she has yet to see the epic one he hopes she’ll wear every day once they go public with their happy news. “He’s already told a few friends he’s purchased a stunning 18-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring to give her. He plans to surprise her with that any day now. Just to make it official.”

They can’t wait to move forward and turn their dreams into a reality. For the wedding itself — her fourth (see sidebar), his second — they have a special place in mind. “They’ve decided to tie the knot in the Caribbean, at a tropical resort, under the stars, right on the beach,” says the insider, noting that the couple’s first getaway as a couple saw them escape to the Caribbean as they got to know one another while staying at a private house in the Bahamas. For their nuptials, says the insider, they’re leaning toward Belize, the gorgeous Central American country bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the east and lush jungles to the west. “Guests from around the world will be flown in for the destination wedding,” says the insider, “but they want to keep the exact location top-secret for as long as they can.”

The music and acting star is tapping an old friend to create what she believes will be her most showstopping wedding gown yet. “Jennifer’s dress will be a Versace original made especially for her big day,” says the insider. ( Donatella Versace also designed the iconic plunging green palm-print dress Jennifer wore to the 2000 Grammys, which inspired Google to create its image-search function.) Though she’s been married many times before, Jennifer still plans to wear white, adds the insider: “Picture a formfitting, long, white dress that showcases her amazing figure.”

They want other wedding details to evoke romance and love. The flowers, for example, “will be white and pink roses,” says the insider. The menu will have something for everyone. “They want an enormous

buffet of fresh seafood, sushi and, of course, their favorite Latin dishes,” says the insider. “And Jennifer wants a live salsa band playing into the night. She and Alex both want it to be an epic celebration that will go down in history as one of the greatest weddings of all time.”

FAMILY MATTERS

But they know that even the most beautiful decor and lavish locale aren’t what will make their day memorable. They’re both determined to make guests understand how deeply they feel for one another and how happy they are to have found each other in their 40s. “They’ve already begun writing their vows — together and separately,” says the insider. “Jennifer wants to make sure they cover every detail about the importance of blending their families. All their children will be included in the vows.” Jennifer’s 10-year-old twins, Emme and Max (with third husband Marc Anthony), and Alex’s girls, Ella, 10, and Natasha, 13 (from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis), will be heavily involved in the big day. “But they also want to surprise each other on the day of the wedding with some special words,” adds the insider. “Jennifer says her goal is to make Alex tear up, and I’m sure she’ll succeed.”

They are truly, madly in love. “Alex and Jennifer feel the same way about each other, and they say it to each other all the time — they’re incredibly blessed to have finally found their soulmates. They feel they are two of the luckiest people on the planet,” says the insider. That’s one reason they would love to add to their blended family. “They want to raise another child — they’d love a boy — with their kids from previous relationships, who’ve already blended seamlessly as siblings.” PLANS FOR THEIR FUTURE This is more than a wedding. It’s a declaration of happiness and a celebration of love that neither expected to ever find after so many failed romances. “Jennifer and Alex want to show their friends, family and the entire world that their love is real,” says the insider. “They envision themselves surrounded by children and grandchildren living on a beach somewhere, growing old together. This wedding is just the beginning of that dream.” ◼

I do believe in marriage. And I would love to grow old with somebody in a committed relationship” — JENNIFER
