Matt’s Dating Again!

With his bitter (and expensive!) divorce set to be finalized any day now, Matt Lauer isn’t wasting any time getting back in the dating game. On Aug. 10, the disgraced former Today show host was spotted with a mystery woman in Sag Harbor, N.Y., where he’s been hiding out over the summer near his soon-to-be ex-wife, Annette Roque, and their three kids. “Matt left Sag Harbor on his boat with a woman,” a source tells In Touch. “It was just the two of them, and he said they were headed to Newport [R.I.]. He was in a great mood, and it definitely seemed like a date.”

It’s been a rough year for Matt, who was fired from NBC in November 2017 for sexual misconduct. Two months later, he and Annette, 52, began divorce proceedings. But the 60-year-old has been coming out of hiding more and more in recent weeks — he attended a charity event on Aug. 4 in Sag Harbor — and now he looks like he has a new love interest (who friends believe may be the same woman he was spotted with back in 2014, also on his 37-foot Hinckley; see inset photo). “They are going strong, but Matt is doing everything in his power to keep her a secret,” says an insider, who adds, “He’s been working very hard to have a good relationship with his kids, so he’s worried about what they’ll think.” He also doesn’t want to ruffle any more of Annette’s feathers as the divorce proceedings drag on, says the friend: “The last thing he needs right now is to upset his wife by flaunting a sexy, younger replacement.”
