Talk about a revenge body! Thirty-nine-year-old momof-three Kourtney Kardashian is in the best shape of her life, and she’s worked very hard to get there. “I believe we have one life to live, and I would like to live it feeling my best,” says the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and single mom, who shares kids Mason, 8, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 3, with ex Scott Disick and recently split with 25-year-old model Younes Bendjima. To get extra lean, clean-eating Kourtney, who limits her gluten and dairy intake, went on the popular Keto diet, sticking to three lowcarb meals a day that are high in protein and healthy fats (see box at right). “It was a really positive experience for me,” says Kourtney, who advises followers to check with their doctors before starting the intense eating plan, which shifts the body into a metabolic state called ketosis so dieters burn fat instead of carbs for energy. She also kicks butt in the workout department, often exercising with her trainer, Don Brooks, and sister Khloé. “I know for my body, I need [at least] four to five days a week of working out,” says Kourtney, who alternates between cardio work ( like running, jumping rope or using the stair climber) and strengthtraining (using resistance bands, body weight or kettlebells). Her commitment to fitness has made a huge difference in getting her the body of her dreams. “I never made working out a priority,” she says, “but now it makes me feel so much better mentally and physically.”
