Did David Schwimmer steal a case of beer from a grocery store in England?

After Blackpool, England, police released a photo of a robbery suspect (above left), Friends fans from all over noticed his likeness to Ross Geller — and his portrayer, David Schwimmer, got in on the joke as well. “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me,” David, 52, wrote alongside an Instagram video (above right) that re-created the crime. “As you can see, I was in New York.” But did anyone check for an alibi from Ross’ doppelgänger, Russ, who dated Rachel for one episode?!
