The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood and fiancée Cassie Randolph dish to In Touch about their romance and future plans

Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph have always done things at their own pace, so it comes as no surprise that the pair — who bucked tradition by not getting engaged on The Bachelor’s Season 23 finale — are in no rush to tie the knot or have children. “We’re very happy with where we are now,” says Cassie, 24, who’s still studying to become a speech pathologist. Adds Colton, 27: “We’re really enjoying this phase of our lives. And we already have so much on our plate, we don’t need any extra pressure.” Still, they’ve definitely put some thought into their future family. “Cassie would like to have three kids,” says former NFL player Colton, “and I originally wanted two but I’m coming around on a third. As long as I have a dog in the house, we’re good!” Here the duo, who recently attended Tubi’s Go Binge Yourself Newfront reception in NYC, talk to In Touch’s Fortune Benatar about life without TV cameras (for now!), date nights and meeting Bachelor superfan Mila Kunis!

Any timeline for getting engaged? CR:

We talk about our future and everything, but we don’t have any definite plans right now.

When the time comes, what kind of wedding would you like?

CU: We’re both very family-oriented, so we just know we’d want our families wherever it is.

How’s life been since the show ended?

CU: It’s been a whirlwind. We’re still trying to adapt and just live a simple, normal life.

CR: Yeah. We’re happy. There have been a lot of changes, but we’re going through them together, which makes it better.

Tell us about a typical date night.

CU: We’re trying to find the balance with traveling so much and making time to have normal date nights and also just hang out and watch TV on the couch.

CR: We had a really fun night where we went for pizza and drank a bottle of wine and closed down the restaurant.

What are some romantic things you’ve done for each other lately?

CU: She does so many little things for me, and the little things go a long way. But Cassie’s been a little homesick. so I threw a surprise party for her.

CR: All my friends and all my family came. I was very surprised!

Cassie, you live in the same building as Colton’s third runner-up, Caelynn Miller-Keyes. What’s that like?

CR: Once the show is over, you’re able to be friends because you’re not stuck in a bubble anymore. I don’t know if that makes any sense! It is pretty weird.

Are you guys open to doing a reality show or TV wedding?

CU: We’ve definitely talked about it, and it’s on the table. We just want to be selective and do what’s best for our relationship — and also for our friends and our family.

Colton, you’ve been on The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise and then The Bachelor. Any regrets?

CU: Well, there were some ups and downs, but obviously it was worth it in the end! I’m a very lucky guy.
