Four years after having their first child, the couple decide to expand their family

After Timberlake said in 2018 that he and wife Jessica Biel want “as many kids as possible,” she was put on the spot during an interview and asked about what her chatty hubby had just shared. “Did he say that? Oh, that’s interesting,” she said coyly, before adding, “You know, kids are really hard, but they are really amazing. It would be amazing to have a bigger family. I am feeling him.”

Fast-forward to the present, and sources tell In Touch the couple are finally ready to give their 4-year-old son, Silas, a little brother or sister. “Silas is getting older,

and the plan was always to have at least two children,” says the source. “Jessica would love a little girl, but another boy would be just fine. She and Justin have a lot of love to give, and since they both had siblings growing up, they want the same for Silas.”

STRONGER THAN EVER

Jessica is the reason they’ve waited four years, says the source. Justin, 38, “would have had another kid right away, but she wasn’t in a rush. But now that she’s getting older” — she’s 37 — “she’s ready.”

Another reason the timing is right? Justin and Jessica — who were at the center of a scandal in 2014 after he allegedly got flirty with another woman at a Paris bar (he vehemently denied the accusations) — have never been closer, says the source: “They’re in this together for the long haul. Having Silas created a bond between them that can’t be broken.”

Jessica has said as much. “[Becoming parents] changed everything, because we’re in awe of each other,” she said in one interview. “I will do something and feel it’s a bit of a mom fail, and kind of look over at him. There’s no judgment there. So it’s a safe place that we’ve created for ourselves and our partnership.”
