DON’T BE TARDY

THINGS GET WILDER THAN USUAL ON THE NEXT, INSTALLMENT OF HER FAMILY'S BRAVO SERIES

-

Kim Zolciak-Biermann goes on a road trip with her family for the next installment of her hit reality series

For the eighth season of Don’t Be Tardy, Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her supersize family of eight decided to switch things up and let cameras roll while they embarked on a six-week crosscountry road trip. “I don’t know how I survived,” says the 42-year-old mom (Brielle, 23, and Ariana, 18, are from a previous relationship, and she shares Kroy, 9, Kash, 8, and 6-yearold twins Kaia and Kane with her husband of nearly nine years, Kroy). “I’m a little bit of a diva. I like to use really good water when I shower and things like that.” Here, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star talks to In Touch’s Katie Bruno about roughing it, keeping things hot with Kroy and how she really feels about social media trolls.

Did you come up with RV trip idea?

KZB: We did. I always thought it would be the coolest thing to do. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, but so much goes on!

You were stuck in a small space!

KZB: I love being with my kids, so that was really great. The struggle was that I didn’t have the luxuries that I love and need. But I made do!

How did you handle lockdown?

KZB: Our trip prepared us for it. And I’m a homebody, so it’s been OK.

You get a lot of flak online.

KZB: People are really bored! It’s gotten worse, but I tell my girls, it’s a direct reflection of [the haters] and has nothing to do with me or my life.

Ever think about having more kids?

KZB: I was really stuck on it during quarantine. But I have so much going on. And I’m a helicopter mom, so Kroy’s like, “I don’t think you could even handle another one!” But it’s never out of the question.

How do you ever find alone time?

KZB: Kroy puts them in bed at 8, which is a big thing. It’s not easy, but you’ve just got to figure it out.

What’s the secret to your happy marriage?

KZB: I’m pretty laid-back and he’s more rigid, so we meet in the middle. But parenting and agreeing on everything can be a struggle. Kroy is more apt to back down, though, so it’s all good! ◼
