REUNITES WITH HER EX-FIANCÉ

Just days after announcing her split with her new husband, Gypsy Rose Blanchard gets back with her prison ex

-

It’s over. Eight months after marrying Ryan Scott Anderson while she was behind bars in a Missouri prison — and three months following her release after serving more than eight years for plotting to murder her abusive mother, Dee Dee Blanchard — Gypsy Rose Blanchard and the middle school special education teacher have called it quits. “Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation, and I moved in with my parents down the bayou,” the Louisiana native, 32, announced on her private Facebook account on March 28. “I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart.”

She’s also leaning on the man she was engaged to before Ryan — former fiancé Ken Urker. On April 4, Gypsy and Ken — who flew from his home in Texas to spend time with Gypsy in Louisiana amid her heartbreak, his mother, Raina Williams, confirms — held hands outside a store, as seen in first photos exclusively obtained by In Touch. Earlier, the pair had visited Sailor Bob’s tattoo shop in Cut Off, La., where they got matching husky dog ink on their arms. They were also spotted together outside her father and stepmom’s home. “Everyone is wondering if Gypsy and Ken are officially back together,” says a source. “It sure looks like it.”

PRISON PROPOSAL

But according to Ken’s mother, Gypsy and her son are just friends. “They are not back together,” she insists. “Ken is just being a supportive friend to her, and that’s it. As of right now, there are no plans on a romantic scale” — and if that were

ever to happen, she says, Gypsy would need to be divorced. Gypsy and Ken began a relationship in 2018 while she was still behind bars. After watching Mommy Dead and Dearest — the HBO documentary that chronicled how Dee Dee manipulated friends, family and even doctors into believing Gypsy was suffering from various serious health ailments, leading her daughter to hatch a scheme to escape the abuse with then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, who stabbed Dee Dee to death in 2015 (he’s serving life in prison) — Ken wrote to Gypsy, and they became pen pals.

He proposed during a prison visit, but called off the wedding in 2019 just months before their planned 2020 nuptials. Ken’s mother says he broke things off because he wanted Gypsy to experience life outside incarceration before she settled down.

In the wake of her split from Ryan, Gypsy vowed to focus on herself. “Right now,” she wrote in her separation announcement, “I need time to let myself find…who I am.” ◼
