Recall hopeful Anthony Trimino gets $5 million for Ladera Ranch mansion
A custom Ladera Ranch mansion owned by entrepreneur Anthony Trimino, a Republican who hopes to unseat California Gov. Gavin Newsom, has sold at the same price it listed for in April.
An international buyer bought the property Aug. 3 for $4.95 million, county records show.
According to the Multiple Listing Service, that currently makes it the masterplanned community’s most expensive transaction to date.
Completed in 2014 in guard-gated Covenant Hills, the six-bedroom, eight-bath- room home boasts 9,246 square feet across three floors, with amenities such as a temperature-controlled wine room and a poker room with a cigar smoke filtration system and an old-worldstyle
theater.
The theater includes a wet bar and a billiard table.
There’s also an arcade room.
Trimino collaborated with
the architect and the landscape designer to create the look of his family’s home, sparing no expense on its quality finishes.
The interiors feature bricklined
walls, 200-year-old reclaimed barn wood flooring and hand-carved wooden doors.
“The vision was to create a
house with character that would age gracefully, and they accomplished that,” said Josh Zollinger of HOMZ Real Estate, the co-listing agent.
Features of the house include arched doorways and decorative ceilings. A glass wall separates the wine room from the formal dining room.
The great room brings the formal living, family and informal dining rooms with the gourmet kitchen.
Its doors open to the outdoor kitchen with its built-in barbecue and pizza oven.
The grounds also feature a pool and spa, entertainment loggia and Mediterranean-style landscape.
Chris Marple of VIP Realty Group shared the listing with Zollinger. Alona Tetter of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.
