Memorial Day events will honor the fallen
Communities across the Inland Empire will mark Memorial Day with words and music to salute fallen U.S. military members. Events include the return of one of the largest commemorations in the region at Riverside National Cemetery after two years of pandemic-related changes.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY
Calimesa
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7347 and the cities of Calimesa and Yucaipa will have a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 11251 Desert Lawn Drive in Calimesa. Cpl. Justin Crabbe, a Yucaipa resident who served in the Marine Corps from September 2008 to November 2012, will be the keynote speaker. He earned the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon and several other medals and recognitions, according to the city of Yucaipa.

A Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Central Park, 30268 Civic Plaza Drive. The ceremony will include presentations, guest speakers and messages of remembrance. Moreno Valley
Moreno Valley will honor veterans at the city’s Virtual Memorial Day address at 11 a.m. Monday. The event will be broadcast live on the city’s YouTube page, the city’s Facebook page and on TV at MV3.

Norco
A reverent Memorial Day ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at George A. Ingalls Veterans Memorial Plaza, 3737 Crestview Drive.
