Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is moving

- Staff report

Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore will soon move out of its current Montclair location, but the new address won’t be too far away.

The nonprofit store, which raises funds for building houses for low-income families, will open June 1 at a larger location two blocks to the east, at 4701-4737 Holt Blvd., Montclair.

The ReStore is a home-improvement store, which offers new and used building materials, home furnishings and furniture, and the Montclair store has been at 4609 Holt Blvd. since 2009.

The new ReStore is expected to be open for business 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, according to Christine Charland, executive director of Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Those wishing to donate items can make an appointment at habitatpv. org or call 909-399-0202, and donation pickup service is available.

The new location will offer more parking for customers as well as a larger showroom floor, more than 13,000 square feet, including including an expanded array of paint colors and a mattress department, according to Charland.

Preparations are underway for the affiliate’s next construction projects, building two homes for veterans in Chino Hills.
