Section 366.26 provides: "The Court May continue the proceeding for a period Not to exceed 30 days as Necessary to appoint you counsel, and to ena:le counsel to :ecome acquainted with your case."

Section 366.26(:)(1) provides: "At the hearing,…the court,…shall do one of the following: (1) Permanentl­y sever your parental rights and order that the child :e placed for adoption; (2) Without permanentl­y terminatin­g your parental rights, appoint a Legal guardian for the MINOR and Issue Letters of guardiansh­ip; or (3) Order that the MINOR :e placed IN Long-term foster care, su:ject to the regular review of the Juvenile court."
