The Property is located at 5565 Rancho Camino Drive/apn#8708-001-945. The City case file is MAJSDP 17238-2021. The public hearing will take place at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission. The proposed modification will not result in any new impacts than those that were analyzed in the 2016 original project and its 2018 modification. The public hearing will take place on September 27, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., in-person at the City Council Chambers located at 505 S. Garey Avenue, Pomona, CA 91766. The dwelling units would consist of studio, one and two-bedroom units. For Phase 2, the project would remove the proposed 4,955 square-foot banquet hall space and reduce the hotel from 215 rooms to 143 rooms and convert the hotel into an apartment/ hotel dual use building (“East Building”). The East Building would contain 86 residential dwelling units in the residential component, for a total of 233 residential dwelling units and 143 hotel rooms along with associated commons areas and surface parking. This second Addendum will not create new significant impacts than those otherwise disclosed in the FEIR adopted in 2016; therefore, no further environmental review is required. You may view the agenda for the meeting related to this public hearing at https:// pomona.legistar.com/calendar.aspx , by selecting the Planning Commission and the date of the public hearing. Dwelling units would consist of studio, one and two-bedroom units. The City of Pomona, as lead agency, has conducted an environmental review on the proposed project per the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et seq.) and CEQA Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, §§ 15000, et seq.). The City of Pomona has prepared a second addendum to the Certified Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project to evaluate the potential environmental effects of project modifications proposed for the 2016 Original project and its 2018 modification (first addendum) with the currently proposed 2023 revised project. This second Addendum will not create new significant impacts than those otherwise disclosed in the FEIR adopted in 2016; therefore, no further environmental review is required.
