Our beloved Jean Valdez (AKA "Jeannie", Mom, & Nana), after a short illness took God's hand on October 14, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born in Ontario, CA to Adam & Rosa Moraga. She was married for 59 years to her loving husband, Fred, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children: Rosemary, Ernest (Esther), Lynda (Kirk), and Steven, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a local girl attending Lincoln Elementary, Vina Danks Jr. High & Chaffey High schools. She loved Ontario. It's where she was raised and where she raised her family and had many lifelong friends.

Jean was an avid reader, she read thousands of books in her lifetime. Her house was always full of books and she would give them away by the bag full if you promised to pass some of them on. She believed "That Dessert Can Be Eaten First" .....

While raising her children she was a school secretary at Lincoln and Ramona Elementary within the Ontario-montclair School District. After retiring she began her Real Estate career and then volunteered with the Friends of Ontario City Library until just 7 years ago.

Services will be held at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, CA on Friday, November 17th. Viewing at 10:00am, with a service and celebration of life at 11:00am, burial at Bellevue Memorial Park following.
