Lecture: Rabbi Elliot J. Cosgrove, senior rabbi of the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, will be the guest speaker at the seventh annual Rabbi Hillel Cohn Endowed Lecture on the Contemporary Jewish Experience, 6p.m. March 26in the Alumni Center of Cal State San Bernardino, 5500 University Parkway, San Bernardino. Theater: The University of Redlands School of Performing Arts presents “Love Letters” by A.R. Gurney, 7 p.m. March 23at the university’s Glenn Wallichs Theater, 380 N. University St., Redlands. The performance, directed by Gregory Ramos, is a fundraiser for the School of Performing Arts. Tickets are $75and include a 5:30 p.m. VIP reception. Film festival: The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be presented 6:30 p.m. at the Fox Event Center, 123Cajon St., Redlands. The festival continues 6:30 p.m. Saturday, with a different program of short films each evening. Tickets are $30, available at sgwa.org and at the door.
Community theater: Lifehouse Theater presents “The Genesis Story,” a new musical retelling of the biblical book of Genesis, 7 p.m. at 1135 N. Church St., Redlands.
