Concert: The University of La Verne music department hosts a concert by Grammy Award-winning conductor and pianist Grant Gershon and his wife, soprano Elisa Johnston, 6p.m. April 14a the Ann and Steve Morgan Auditorium, 1950 Third St., La Verne. The program is part of the Sundays at the Morgan Concert Series. Admission is a $20 suggested donation, free for students with ID. Concert: The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band presents “An Evening at the Pops” 7:30 p.m. April 15in the Merton E. Hill Auditorium on the campus of Chaffey High School, 1245 N. Euclid Ave., Ontario. Free Art event: The Claremont Lewis Museum of Art presents “Maloof it off the Roof” 6-7p.m. April 6at the museum, 200 W. First St., Claremont. In the event, part of the exhibition “This is not a chair,” artists and furniture makers will provide “chairs” to be dropped from the roof with musical accompanim­ent, inspired by stories that as a young furniture maker, Sam Maloof dropped chairs from the roof of his garage to test the strength of their joints.

Farmers’ markets: The city of Fontana, in conjunctio­n with the Family Market Company, offers a farmers’ market 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays in the aquatics center parking lot at Fontana Park, 15556 Summit Ave.; and 2-7 p.m. Thursdays in the Don Day Neighborho­od Center parking lot at Southridge Park, 14501 Live Oak Ave.

Food distributi­on: Food for Life Ministry offers food 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at its main warehouse, 4712 Cheyenne Way, Chino. It also offers food there 9a.m.-noon on the Saturdays when it is not holding food distributi­ons elsewhere. Bring a form of identifica­tion (required) and $5(not required). www.
