Meagan Medick admits she should have had a better instinct that this was not a normal walk to the ballpark when her boyfriend Kasey Ourada asked her, “Are you sure you don’t want to do your makeup before we go?” The couple lived only a block away from Petco Park where the San Diego Padres play, so the pair attended often. “We loved walking over, sitting in the sun, decompressing, and catching up. The baseball games always seemed like our time to be a couple,” shares Meagan. On this special day, Kasey walked with her to the top of a grassy hill, got down on one knee, and popped the question.

Once they settled on a date, Meagan and Kasey found that finalizing the guest list was very stressful. “It was by far the hardest part! I won’t miss it,” laughs the bride. The other aspects of the planning were enjoyable, especially since Meagan had a great team, including her mom, sister-in-law, and wedding planner Andrea Eppolito of Andrea Eppolito Events. “Kasey was always very willing and interested, but I was really into taking over the majority of the work and decisions. His job was to pick the band, and he did an amazing job,” explains Meagan of their seamless process.
