Senior centers start to reopen

Normal operations anticipate­d by mid-July

Health and Human Services’ Eastern Sierra Area Agency on Aging (ESAAA) announced on Monday the reopening of senior centers for senior lunches in Inyo County.

Most sites will initially be open one day a week while the county transition­s people off of the home-delivered meal program and plan to return to normal operation by midJuly.

The following schedule will be in place (lunches are served at noon):

Bishop Senior

Center

– Friday Only

Big Pine Senior Center

– Tuesday Only

Lone Pine Senior

Center

– Thursday Only Tecopa Senior Center

– Monday through Friday

The sites are following state guidelines and face coverings will be required only for those individual­s who are not fully vaccinated.

Reserve meals by calling (760) 873-5240 for Bishop, Big Pine and Lone Pine or (760) 852-4264 for Tecopa.
