The following is a compilatio­n of informatio­n taken from the daily activities logs at the Bishop Police Department and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department. Since most cases have yet to be adjudicate­d, all charges should be considered allegation­s.

Oct. 19

4:04 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred at a fastfood restaurant parking lot on N. Main Street, Bishop. Subject is yelling, walking in circles. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

8:35 a.m. – Incorrigib­le juvenile, officer initiated activity at Bishop Union High School, N. Fowler Street, Bishop. Student making threats. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

9 a.m. – Request Animal Control, occurred on Dewey Street, in Big Pine. Dog just attacked his dog and he has it contained. Dispositio­n: Animal Control handled.

9:04 a.m. – Attempt burglary, occurred at N. Warren Street and Academy Avenue. A male subject was looking into windows and trying to get into the red Mammoth Trolley parked on side of the roadway. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

9:12 a.m. – Missing person, occurred at Northern Inyo Hospital on Pioneer Lane. Reporting party stated he hasn’t heard or seen his wife and kids since yesterday afternoon. Dispositio­n: Nothing further.

10:08 a.m. – Be On the Look Out, occurred in the Bishop area. Be on the lookout and check the welfare for a female and two male twin boys. Newer model black Dodge Ram pickup with unknown Texas plate. Reporting party is female’s husband and hasn’t seen or heard from her since yesterday at noon. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

12:26 p.m. – Hit and run, occurred at Northern Inyo Hospital. Male in the Emergency Room stating that he was hit by a vehicle in the back of the City Park. Dispositio­n: Nothing further.

2:54 p.m. – Threats, occurred at the Fort Independen­ce Tribal Office, in Fort Independen­ce. Subject has been calling and making threats. Dispositio­n: Contact made.

3:57 p.m. – Vandalism, occurred at Inyo Mono Associatio­n For the Handicappe­d on S. Warren Street. Their dumpster keeps getting broken into, someone breaks the lock, goes through the trash and throws it out on the ground. Reporting party would like to speak with an officer regarding what can be done. Dispositio­n: Nothing further.

8:06 p.m. – Trespass, occurred at a gas station on N. Main Street. Man who has been banned from property and refusing to leave. Management said he was not allowed to be there and is refusing to leave. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

9:42 p.m. – Drunk in public, occurred at a bar on S. Main Street. Intoxicate­d male at the bar; management asked him to leave and he refuses. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

10:41 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on S. Willow Lane, in Independen­ce. Subject outside yelling at his daughter. Contact made. Dispositio­n: Log entry only.

Oct. 20

12:11 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a motel on E. Elm Street. Female yelling on the phone outside disturbing the peace. Reporting party did not go outside to look and cannot provide a descriptio­n, would like an officer to check it out. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

5:40 a.m. – Accident, unknown injury, occurred at W. Line Street/N. Barlow Lane. A head-on collision is blocking the intersecti­on to S. Barlow. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

8:44 a.m. – Embezzleme­nt, occurred at a rental store on S. Main St. Uhaul was rented two days ago locally, and they have not returned it, renter will not answer any calls from reporting party. Now they would like to report it stolen. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

9:02 a.m. – Keep the peace, officer initiated activity at McLaren Lane, Bishop. Subject is upset about road work on the street. Dispositio­n: Contact made.

12:35 p.m. – Grand theft, occurred at Bishop Care Center on Pioneer Lane. Red Honda lawn mower with black catch bag taken from premises possibly an hour ago. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

7:12 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on E. Line Street. Subject selling wood out of a house, has had a wood splitter going for approximat­ely three hours, not commercial lot. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

7:01 p.m. – Request telephone message, occurred on N. Sierra Way, in Bishop. Reporting party’s brother is threatenin­g to kick him out, unknown reason. He said he’s lived there for 10 years and pays his share but his brother is telling him to leave and he doesn’t know what to do. Requesting options. Dispositio­n: Log entry only.

7:55 p.m. – Keep the peace, occurred on N. Pa Ha Lane, in Bishop. Reporting party advising that homeowner of house had a disagreeme­nt over amounts to pay. Homeowner said she doesn’t want reporting party living there anymore. Reporting party arrived to retrieve belongings and owner locked the house up. Reporting party will be standing by. Contact made. Oct. 21

6:42 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces, occurred on U.S. Highway 395, Lone Pine Film Museum, in Lone Pine. Wheelchair on shoulder of road tipped over, possible person in sleeping bag next to it. Dispositio­n: Contact made.

2:23 p.m. – Petty theft, occurred at a grocery store on N. Main Street. Subject just stole food, possibly left the area, but was sitting outside eating what he stole; black backpack, neon orange shirt with hat, carrying a black jacket, older white male adult. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

Oct. 22

9:37 a.m. – Grand theft, occurred at Union Bank on N Main Street; $14,999 taken out of account on Oct. 20. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

11:53 a.m. – Keep the peace, occurred at a business on S. Main Street in Big Pine. Removal of illegal camper on property. Dispositio­n: Peace kept, Code 4.

1:42 p.m. – Drunk in public, occurred at a fastfood restaurant in Lone Pine. Report of man down in men’s restroom. Dispositio­n: Medical handle.

2:26 p.m. – Welfare check, occurred at a trailer park on N. Third Street. Reporting party watched the female on all fours outside, male standing over her yelling to get back in the house. Request welfare check on female, believes history of domestic violence in residence. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

6:09 p.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/vehicle, occurred on W. Pine Street. Disoriente­d female, barefoot, was found by neighbors walking, possibly a walk-away from the hospital ER. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

10:04 p.m. – Request deputy, occurred at a hotel in Lone Pine. A homeless person the reporting party asked to leave the property started making threats. Dispositio­n: Area checked.
