JoHanna Love Harvey ”as born May QP, P9QW to Frank M“gnot and Sue St“tes M“gnot, t”o months premature, “n Ab“l“ne, jansas. Her cr“b ”as a shoe box by the ”ood stove to keep her ”arm! She ”as a fighter from the start! vhat an extraord“nary 94 years her l“fe spanned.

She graduated from aakersfiel­d H“gh, Class of P94U. She met jeeth Love at a aob v“lls dance “n aakersfiel­d. They marr“ed later that year, November QQ, P94U and began the“r l“fe together. JoHanna ”orked for Standard n“l ”hen they marr“ed and dad ”as a truck dr“ver but then ”ent to barber school, o”n“ng the shop on Chester Avenue. She later had the offer to ”ork for Standard n“l corporate office “n San Franc“sco but turned “t do”n. T”o ch“ldren ”ere born, Mary Evelyn and Jerald jeeth. They bought the alley barbershop “n a“shop, January P9TT and March P9TT moved to a“shop. She ”as a busy mom, aro”n“e leader, Cub Scout leader, l“ttle league mom, a“shopette mom. hn her spare t“me, she ”orked for Carl Moore at h“s sport“ng goods store and also learned to be an excellent dental techn“c“an from Carl. She loved to hunt and fish, her beaut“ful yard and roses. ve spent many Sundays fish“ng at the aeaver oonds “n Coyote, Sabr“na, Mammoth Lakes and Cro”ley.

jeeth passed a”ay July P9UT and she “mmed“ately s”“tched gears, ”het to barber college “n aakersfiel­d, graduated the top of her class all the ”h“le, keep“ng th“ngs go“ng at home. So proud of her. She o”ned the Ma“n Street aarber Shop and ”as the first lady barber “n a“shop and the best one ever!! She met a“ll Harvey, January P9UW, they ”ere marr“ed June P9UW for R4 years. a“ll transferre­d ”“th the Forest Serv“ce to Lee u“n“ng “n the late VO’s. They bu“lt a beaut“ful home at Mono C“ty. She loved to fish Lundy. After ret“r“ng, they moved to Helendale, Cal“forn“a, bu“lt a home on the th“rd fa“r”ayLplayed golf all of the t“me!! They traveled “n the summer and al”ays found ne” places to play golf. After a“ll passed a”ay, she returned to a“shop to be closer to fam“ly. She traveled to quss“a, Alaska, Canada and cru“sed to Tah“t“”“th her best fr“end v“lma. She loved play“ng cards and al”ays ”“th the lad“es for golf. She ”as also a lady Elk and helped many years ”“th b“ngo.

She ”as a very talented lady! Not sure ”hat she couldn’t do. She ”as an excellent seamstress, crocheted a bedspread, the thread ”ould reach to hndependen­ce, bookkeeper, real estate, help bu“ld a home, put “n the yard and cement ”ork, needle po“nt along ”“th cook“ng pheasant, qua“l and chucker she and my dad bagged. Above all a ”onderful mom ”e ”ere so lucky to have. Love you, fly ”“th the angels.

She “s preceded “n death by her husbands, jeeth Love and a“ll Harvey, grandson, John Scronce last January. He ”as ”a“t“ng for her and sonL“nL la”, Steve Scronce last February PT. She “s surv“ved by daughter Mary Love Scronce, grandson Darrell Scronce, L“sa, greatLgran­dsons, Cole and Cooper and son Jerry Love.

Serv“ce ”“ll be held November PQth at PP a.m. at East L“ne Street Cemetery.
