Veterans Day in Bishop

BISHOP – The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary Post118 with the local VFW will begin posting U.S. flags for Veterans Day on Main Street and Line Street at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Volunteers are always welcome. There will be a memorial ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Pioneer Commentary on West Line Street. The public is invited to attend. A special ceremony for renaming the VFW the Col. Robert F. Waggoner VFW Post 8988 will be at the Post, 484 Short St., at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served after ceremony; free for veterans.
