It provides 52 illustrated flashcards that prompt children to verbally respond by listing things that are, for example, noisy, quiet, or red. It’s great for helping teachers assess students’ conversational speech, word recall, and categorizing skills. 4 Pics 1 Word (Free) Work on word recall and association by showing students pictures of four objects with a shared theme and asking them to guess what the images have in common. Though the app wasn’t originally intended for educational purposes, it’s great at helping kids to look at images analytically and use deductive reasoning to find answers.
