Ban.jo: This app is the “Internet live feed.” I use Banjo to browse music, sports, and the latest news, as well as to read real-time posts from people who are at events.
FlightTrack 5: Since I travel quite often, it’s critical for me to keep track of all flight, gate, and terminal information. This app stores all of this info, regardless of what airline I am flying, and alerts me with any changes to my flight.
Swingmail: This app manages all of my emails, prioritizing them based on how frequently I email certain contacts.
MarketWatch: I use this app to track the markets in real-time with enhanced charts, global market news, and notifications of technology stocks and trends.
SlideShark: I store my PowerPoint presentations in SlideShark. I then launch the app to practice and review them prior to the presentation.
Dragon Dictation: I usually get ideas that I want to remember when I’m traveling. Rather than writing them down, I speak them into this app and it transcribes the notes.
TechCrunch: I use this app to keep track of the latest technology trends in Silicon Valley. It also alerts me of great startups launching in the educational tech space.
Learnist: This app allows you to follow others based on their areas of interest. I can create pinboards of materials organized around a topic. I also create multiple boards on my account and make them collaborative.
TestFlight: I use this app to allow developers to send me private access to their iPhone apps that are currently being tested. This is a useful way to access apps without having to release them to the public through the App Store.
LinkedIn: When I’m at a conference, I prefer connecting with other professionals through LinkedIn. I can use it to quickly find out their areas of expertise and how we are connected.
