Keep Track of Your Subscriptions
Never forget a monthly charge again.
I f you're like me, then you've got all kinds of monthly subscriptions, ranging from TV streaming services to virtual cookbooks. The cost of these subscriptions can add up fast, and it's not always clear where all your money is going when you get a receipt from Apple. Taking control of your finances and deciding where to cut costs to create a monthly budget is challenging if you can't look at itemized expenses. Apple does make it possible to view and manage all your subscriptions—you just have to figure out where to look. For example, did you know that unless you have Apple One, your iCloud storage plan is managed separately from the rest of your Apple services? Or that you can view a history of almost all your purchases in one place? If you've been wondering how much you spend every month through Apple, you'll love the following tips, tricks, and recommendations.
APP & SERVICE SUBSCRIPTIONS
App subscriptions, like monthly access to a digital cookbook or a third-party calendar app, are charged through your Apple ID. Your Apple ID is also used for subscriptions to Apple services, like Apple News Plus or Apple TV Plus. Every time you buy an app or subscribe to a service, your iPhone keeps a record of those purchases. You can manage your subscriptions through the App Store or via your Settings profile. You can even cancel subscriptions and view your recent purchase history.
THE APP STORE METHOD
Open the App Store and tap your profile on the top right. Next, select Subscriptions. You'll see a list of your Active subscriptions, followed by a list of Expired ones. Tap a subscription to view the cost. From here, you can also cancel if you no longer wish to pay for it.
THE SETTINGS PROFILE METHOD
Another way to get to the same subscriptions page is to open the Settings app and tap your profile on the top of the screen. Select Subscriptions to view and manage your subscription status.
