POTUS Family Scrapbook: Growing Up, White House Style!

What life has Really been like for President Obama’s daughters, Malia and Sasha!

For nearly eight years, 18-year-old Malia and 15-year-old Sasha have called 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., in Washington, D.C., home. Complete with a movie theater, a pool and two bowling alleys, there’s no doubt that they’ve have had a blast there! “They’ve handled it [my presidency] so well,” President Obama says. With their dad’s term ending Jan. 20, look back on their time in D.C.!

The girls still have responsibilities! In the White House, the sisters have chores to do, such as making their beds and cleaning their rooms, even after attending events with their dad (like this Thanksgiving appearance). A Christmas to remember...

Next up: Malia is headed to college! Malia is getting ready to attend Harvard University in the spring of 2017 after taking a gap year. “I’m not ready for her to leave,” President Obama says. “But she’s ready!”

Sasha gets totally star struck! Malia threw two thumbs up to Sasha as she fan-girled in front one of her favorite actors, Ryan Reynolds, at a party on March 14, 2016.

Proudly standing by their father! On Jan. 21, 2013, Malia (then 15) and Sasha (then 12) watched their dad be inaugurated for his second term. “They’re smart and funny, but most importantly, they’re kind,” Pres. Obama has said about them.

Girls’ night at the Kids’ Choice Awards! At the slime-themed awards show, the sisters watched as their mom Michelle gave an award to Taylor Swift. Then, they danced to 1D’s performance!
