Sabrina gets personal!

“This album is my musical diary!”

See what Sabrina told us about her sophomore album — out October 14!

Q: We’re excited for your next record! How’s it different from your first one?

A: There’s a lot of change with this new album. I wrote my first one when I was 14, so everything on it was perfect for me and my fans being that age. But with this album, I wanted to make it more universal for people of all ages. There are a lot of songs that I think people will be pleasantly surprised by.

Q: Speaking of songs, what’s your favorite one from this album?

A: “On Purpose” is very special to me because it’s honestly super open and vulnerable. It’s an accidental love song I wrote.

Q: Since your music is based on personal experiences, is this album giving fans a look inside your diary in a way?

A: Absolutely! This album is definitely my musical diary — it’s very personal. Each song was like a mini therapy session for me to write and work on over the last year and a half. I was able to speak my mind and even include hidden messages in the lyrics.

Q: Do you ever get nervous about sharing personal stories in your lyrics?

A: Not really. For me, I’ve always felt like if I have stories that are relatable, then there’s no use keeping them to myself if they can help other people get through those times.

Q: Who’d you love to go on tour with?

A: Lemonade has kind of been my existence lately, so Beyoncé would be amazing! I know I could learn so much from her.
