SIXX AND ISABELLA ARE AMAZON’S NEW “IT” GIRLS!
Get ready to become soccer obsessed because Amazon is launching their latest show The Kicks on August 26. And lucky for us, two of its stars — Sixx Orange and Isabella Acres — are telling
J-14 all about the goal-worthy series.
J-14: Hey, girls! For those who don’t know much about the show yet, what’s The Kicks about?
IA: It basically follows Devon, a girl who moves to California and has to join a new school and soccer team ... only to discover that the team isn’t quite what she expected!
J-14: Cool! Do you have a lot in common with your characters?
SO: I’d say Devon and I are pretty similar. We’re both strong and determined girls who aren’t afraid to go after what we want.
IA: I’m a little different than my character Mirabelle, but she was fun to play because she’s the tough girl on the team.
J-14: The show’s based on a book series by Alex Morgan. Which of those stories are your favorite?
SO: Mine is the first one Saving
The Team because that one is what the core of the series is about. IA: I like Sabotage Season! It has a really mysterious tone to it.
J-14: If you could recruit any celebrity to play for your team, who’d you pick?
SO: Brec Bassinger! She’d be a killer soccer player!
J-14: What’s the story behind the name of the soccer team, The Kicks?
IA: The school’s mascot is a kangaroo, so the name was inspired by that! If you haven’t seen a kangaroo kick, look it up on YouTube — they’re fierce.
J-14: Which teammate would you be BFFs with in real life?
SO: Emma, she’s unique and a blast to be around. Plus, I know she’d be there for me when I needed her.
