When stanning becomes hurtful and dangerous

J-14 - - Real Life -

When the world found out Mac Miller passed away due to an apparent drug overdose, fans and celebrities everywhere joined together to share touching tributes. This included Mac’s former girlfriend, Ariana Grande. “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore,” she shared. “The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.” But among all the love came hurtful comments toward Ariana, with some Mac fans going so far as to blame Ariana for his death. The hate got so harsh that Ariana disabled comments and eventually took a break from social media.

In times like these, it’s important to stop and think before you post. Remember that we all have feelings and tearing someone down will only do more harm than good.
