I WIPED OUT AT THE BEACH IN FRONT OF MY CRUSH!

I went to the beach with a group of friends. It was the first time I was hanging out with my crush outside of school, so I was more conscious of my actions than I usually am. After some begging, my friend convinced me to ride waves on a boogie board. It’s my favorite thing to do at the beach, but I just knew it was a bad idea to do in front of a boy I was trying to impress! Well, I should have stuck to my gut instincts, because after only a few minutes, a huge wave broke and sent me and my board flying into the air. My board snapped, my hair went everywhere and there was sand in places there definitely should not have been sand. I avoided eye contact for the rest of the day.
