IT TOOK YEARS FOR HAILEE TO GET HER FIRST ROLE!

Hailee’s acting dreams started when she was just 8 years old. After seeing her cousin acting in a commercial, she knew it was something she had to do, too. “My mom said, ‘If you take acting classes for a full year, we’ll look into it,’” Hailee shares. Those acting classes lead to auditions, but she didn’t book her dream gig overnight. “From 8 to about 12, I learned very quickly what rejection felt like,” she shares. Then, at 13, she was cast in the movie True Grit, and her life was forever changed! Since then, Hailee has starred in movies like Romeo & Juliet, The Edge of Seventeen and Bumblebee. She’s also kicked off a singing career and starred in and executive produced the series, Dickinson. Next up, Hailee will test her superhero skills in Hawkeye. “I’m just so honored to be a part of the MCU,” she says. “It’s been a wonderful experience, developing this character and taking elements of her from the comics and what we know with her history. It’s just very exciting to be playing a character that is so loved by so many people.”
