Virginia

Schempp,98, passed away on December 10, 2020. She was a fiercely independent woman who lived on her own until 4 months ago when she took a fall. Virginia was born and raised in Holyoke, Colorado by Willie Mae and Daniel Gibbs. She met Herb Schempp while working in her father's drug store.

They were married before Herb shipped out for the Navy during WWII. When the war ended, they settled in Sterling, Colorado where they raised three daughters. Virginia was an amazing seamstress, making all her daughters' clothes including pom- pom outfits for the team of each daughters. She also made wool pep club skirts for the Sterling and Brush pep clubs. Doing alterations for local stores was something that also kept her busy. Water skiing, snow skiing and camping were favorites. She and Herb would motorhome south with good friends each winter for many years. After

Herb died in 1997, she moved to Greeley to be closer to family.

Virginia stayed active taking daily walks, enjoying a book and card club and did some traveling with a senior group. She also loved watching her great grandkids' sports activities. Virginia will be dearly missed by her three daughters: Peggy Stinson (Bill) of Greeley, Nancy

Lobisser (George) of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and Patsy James (Andy) of Boulder. She leaves behind a world of memories for her six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. She joins Herb, her parents and five brothers and sisters in Heaven. Friends may leave condolences at Adamsoncares.com.
