EASTON - Patricia “Patsy” Mae Jones 83 of Mesa, AZ, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Patsy was born on August 20, 1940, to Robert and Ethel (Skaggs) Schoonover in Peoria, IL. She was the 3rd of 4 sisters. When she was 5, her family moved to the family farm in Mason County, near Easton, IL. She attended Red Oak Country School, a oneroom schoolhous­e, and then attended Easton Elementary School. She graduated from Easton High School in 1958. On November 26, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Roger Allan Jones, in Teheran, IL. They were married for 52 years before Roger passed away in May of 2011. Patsy worked for Motorola, at the Mesa branch, from 1973 to 1974, and then began working for Luce Press Clippings in 1976. She was Supervisor of the Bulletin, Sales Confirmati­on and Telephone Department­s. She retired after 30 years in July of 2006.

Patsy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing her piano, movies and taking care of her many dogs over the years. She was always very good at making us all laugh and found humor in many of life’s situations.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patsy was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann (John) Bowles, Janet Schoonover and Martha (Don) Scaff. She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Matt) McCraw of Mesa, AZ, and Eric (Melissa) Jones of Gilbert, AZ. She is also survived by her grandchild­ren, Amanda, Lucas, Emily, Alison, Lauren, Keegan and Katelyn; and 10 great-grandchild­ren.
