Cross stitch over one thread using one strand of floss.
Work double backstitch over two threads using one strand of floss.
Work double backstitch variation over two threads using one strand of floss.
Work Rhodes star stitch over eight threads using one strand 023.
Work herringbone stitch over two threads using one strand of floss.
Work queen stitch over four threads using one strand of floss.
Work backstitch over two threads using one strand of floss.
Work running stitch over two threads using one strand of floss.
Work satin sawtooth stitch over four threads using one strand 053.
Work interlocking brick stitch over four threads using one strand of 023 for underlying backstitch and one strand 053 for bricks.
Work Rhodes heart stitch over eight threads using one strand 023.

• Quilt batting • Coordinating sewing thread • 20" length 1/8"-wide Gloriana Threads
Silk Ribbon
Trim front stitched piece to 1/2" from stitching on top and 1/4" on sides and bottom. Trim back piece to same size. Fold under 1/4" seam allowance along sides and bottom, mitering corners, and press. Fold back 1/2" seam allowance along top triangle, trimming as needed and press. Repeat for back piece.
Cut batting to fit under folded seams. Pin front and back pieces wrong sides together sandwiching batting between the two. Blind-stitch front and back pieces together using coordinating sewing thread.
Cut an 8" length of ribbon. Create eight loops, each 1/2" long. Tack center of loops together using coordinating sewing thread to create bow. Tack center of remaining 12" ribbon piece to top of assembled piece and sew bow atop ribbon.
