In­struc­tions Fin­ish­ing In­struc­tions

Cross stitch over two threads us­ing two strands of floss. Where small sym­bols ap­pear, work 1/4 cross stitch us­ing two strands of floss.

Back­stitch over two threads us­ing one strand of floss.

Press stitched piece from re­verse side, straight­en­ing as much as pos­si­ble.

Trim stitched piece to 1/2" from stitch­ing on all sides. Us­ing trimmed stitched piece as a tem­plate, cut back­ing fab­ric to same size.

Mea­sure out 1/4" from stitch­ing on all sides and fin­ger­press seam al­lowances to back, mi­ter­ing cor­ners. Re­peat for back­ing fab­ric.

Place stitched piece and back­ing to­gether with wrong sides fac­ing. Blind­stitch around edges us­ing sin­gle strand of sew­ing thread. Press to flat­ten edges and cor­ners.
