Materials

• Two 11" x 11" pieces 28- count white chocolate linen from Wichelt Imports Inc.®

• One skein each DMC® or Sullivans® USA six-strand embroidery floss

• Size 24 tapestry needle

Instructions

Cross stitch over two threads using two strands of floss.

Backstitch over two threads using one strand of floss for stems and two strands for border.

Finishing Materials & Instructions

• Two Mill Hill ceramic hand-painted green leaf buttons #86188 from Wichelt Imports Inc.®

• Polyester fiberfill

Press stitched pieces from reverse side, straightening as much as possible.

Trim stitched pieces to 1" from backstitch border on all sides. Fingerpress seam allowances to back along backstitch border.

Place pieces wrong sides together, centering one corner of one stitched piece at the midpoint of one side of second stitched piece. Using one strand 801/45211, lace pieces together following backstitch borders. While lacing, make sure corners of first stitched piece fall at center of coordinating side of second stitched piece. Leave a small opening for stuffing.

Stuff biscornu with fiberfill, making corners firm. Finish lacing opening closed.

Using two strands 520/45117, thread needle and knot one end. Bring needle up through center of biscornu and thread through leaf button. Pull thread back down through button and biscornu and thread through second leaf button. Pull thread taut. Repeat, pulling thread through both buttonholes on both buttons. Pull thread tight and tie off behind the second button.
