Instructions

Cross stitch over one square using two strands of floss.

Backstitch over one square using one strand of floss.

Finishing Materials & Instructions

• Cardstock in desired prints or solid colors: two 41/2" x 61/2" pieces; one 8" x 11" piece

• Double-sided craft tape

• Foam mounting tape

• Decorative buttons (optional)

• Fabric scraps

• 18" length of ribbon

For card front panel, determine window size on one 41/2" x 61/2" cardstock piece to frame stitched design; cut out window.

Trim stitched design to approximately 3/4" larger than window all around, centering design.

Using foam mounting tape, center and mount stitched design in window with right side of fabric facing wrong side of cardstock.

Tape another 41/2" x 61/2" cardstock piece to back of front panel for stability.

Fold 8" x 11" piece of cardstock in half for card base. Referring to photo throughout, attach assembled panel to card front using double-sided tape. Embellish with buttons if desired. Love Ornament

Determine desired size of finished ornament; adding additional fabric for seam allowances around edges, cut a piece of fabric to that size for ornament back.

For ornament front, piece together stitched design with other fabric pieces as shown to make a piece the same size as ornament back.

Assemble ornament as directed in Pillow-Ornament Finishing Instructions. Embellish with loops and bow of decorative ribbon.
