LOCAL NEWS: Pennsylvan­ia COVID-19 update,

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in McKean County on Wednesday, with the county’s total number of cases remaining unchanged at 3,106.

Of McKean County’s 3,106 total cases of COVID-19, 2,341 have been confirmed cases and 765 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 10,004 negative tests.

Elk County reported five new cases of COVID-19

on Wednesday, with its total number of cases increasing from 2,376 to 2,381.

Three of Elk County’s latest cases were confirmed cases and the other two were probable cases. Two new probable cases were added to the St. Marys zip code of 15857, which has now reported 565 confirmed cases and 483 probable cases. Three new confirmed cases were added to the Ridgway zip code of 15853, which has now reported 285 confirmed cases and 187 probable cases.

Of Elk County’s 2,381 total cases of COVID-19, 1,263 have been confirmed cases and 1,118 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 5,650 negative tests.

Four other area counties reported increases in their COVID-19 case totals on Wednesday. Clearfield County reported 39 new cases, with its total increasing to 6,720; Jefferson County reported 11 new cases, with its total increasing to 2,880;

Potter County reported two new cases, with its total increasing to 966; and Warren County reported four new cases, with its total increasing to 2,241.

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cameron or Forest counties on Wednesday.

Pennsylvan­ia has now reported 973,721 total cases of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
