Burglary

April 7 at 5:03 p.m. Officer Snyder responded to a report of a possible break in on the 300 block of Tionesta Ave. Deb Alegretto stated it looked like someone had broken into her basement but she didn’t know when and nothing seemed to be missing. The investigat­ion is ongoing. Anyone with informatio­n on the incident is asked to contact the Kane Police Department.

Assist

April 7 at 1:44 p.m. Chief Boyer provided assistance to PSP who were dealing with a driver having a medical emergency on Route 6 near Lantz Corners. Chief Boyer directed traffic until Medic 5 arrived on scene.

April 9 at 6:16 p.m. Officer Nichols responded to a call to assist McKean County CYS with serving court documents to an individual that lives within the borough of Kane. Officer Nichols attempted to make contact but nobody answered the door.

April 8 at 12:40 p.m. Chief Boyer found a suspicious person sleeping on the picnic tables at Country fair. Joshua Isaman of Bradford was sober when he was awakened. Chief Boyer collected Isaman’s informatio­n and told him he was not to sleep on the tables again.

April 8 at 4:46 p.m. Officer Snyder responded to a report of a disturbanc­e behind 413 Chase Street by resident Jamie Bard. Bard reported that Patricia Bynum was yelling and screaming that his car belonged to her. Before the arrival of Officer Snyder, Bynum smashed the driver’s side window of the vehicle, entered it, and attempted to use a set of keys to start it before leaving the premises. Officer Snyder tried to make contact with Bynum but was unable to. A criminal complaint has been filed and a warrant has been issued.

April 9 at 12:28 a.m. Officer Nichols observed a door open on a local business. He cleared and secured the building and determined it was not broken into but most likely left open by the proprietor. He unsuccessf­ully tried to contact a key holder.
