Lutheran Home at Kane Announces New Director of Fund Development
The Lutheran Home at Kane has announced the hiring of Kristin Marconi Lewis as the new Director of Fund Development for the High Point Foundation. Kristin is a fifth-generation Kane local, and has been active in local and regional rural revitalization efforts since moving back to her hometown of Kane in 2005.
This is a new position for the High Point Foundation, a public charity that advances and promotes the mission and vision of the Lutheran Home at Kane. The Lutheran Home at Kane (LHK) is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) – spanning services from retirement to end of life. The Director of Fund Development serves as a member of the Lutheran Home executive leadership team, and is responsible for coordinating the organization’s fundraising and capital campaign activities, and stakeholder and donor engagement.
“We are delighted to have Kristin on board,” said Char Floravit, CEO of the Lutheran Home. “She has the right personality and skillset to inspire investments that will advance our mission, and ensure the Lutheran Home is here to provide quality care for seniors and quality jobs for future generations. Kristin has long been a compassionate and authentic advocate for rural Pennsylvanians, and brings a wealth of knowledge from the non-profit and private sectors to the High Point Foundation.”
At a time when many rural nursing homes are facing closures, the Lutheran Home is diligently working on creative solutions to expand services and ensure rural seniors’ access to high quality care so we can all thrive as we age.
Said Kristin, “I have a personal connection to the Lutheran Home, with both of my grandmothers having received loving and skilled care as residents, and having served as a volunteer. I could not be more impressed with the dedicated and skilled staff and leadership team here. The Lutheran Home at Kane is an outlier of excellence — this shines through in objective quality measurements by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, but also in the heartfelt testimonials we receive from families. I am thrilled to join the Lutheran Home family and to help our CEO and team lead the organization into the future of long-term care.”
Prior to joining the Lutheran Home, Ms. Lewis provided independent consulting services through her business The Rural Lab. She previously served as the Executive Vice President for the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship, serving a 13-county rural region in the Commonwealth, and also worked in private sector development consulting based in Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a focus in international business from Johns Hopkins University. Kristin resides in Kane with her husband Boyd and daughters
Sadie (Martonik) and Sloane.
