State police at Lewis Run Criminal mischief
HAMLIN TWP. – At 1:52 p.m. on Nov. 23, PSP Lewis Run responded to Main Street/forest Avenue in Hamlin Township for a report of a criminal mischief incident. It was reported that overnight unknown individuals had “slashed” the tires of a motor vehicle that was legally parked on the road. The vehicle was described as being a 2018 Chevrolet, and the victim was listed as being a 55-year-old Hazel Hurst man. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and run crash
CERES TWP. – PSP Lewis Run report investigating a hit and run crash at 8:52 p.m. on Nov. 22 on SR 44, 654 feet east of Ireland Lane in Ceres Township. According to PSP, it was reported that a 2014 Ford Fusion operated by Sasha P. Fischer, 27, of Port Allegany, was traveling south on SR 44 when an unknown unit traveling northbound on SR 44 drifted into the southbound lane, striking the Ford and causing damage to the driver side mirror. The unknown vehicle was described as being a gray sedan. If any information is available in reference to this incident, please contact PSP Lewis Run.
Dui/drug possession
ELDRED TWP. – At 1:19 a.m. on Nov. 21, PSP Lewis Run initiated a traffic stop on a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado on Route 155/ Sartwell Road in Eldred Township for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle was placed under arrest for DUI – drug and alcohol. The passenger of the motor vehicle was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The arrestees were listed as being James Bowker, 23, of Cuba, N.Y., and Nikie Burdick, 20, of Cuba, N.Y. Charges are pending blood results.
DUI
LIBERTY TWP. – At 4:27 a.m. on Nov. 20, PSP Lewis Run stopped a 2010 Chrysler on Route 155/Two Mile Road in Liberty Township for Title 75 vehicle code violations. Upon further investigation, the operator was discovered to be DUI and in possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia. Also, the passenger was discovered to be in possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia. The arrestees were listed as being Holly Pasinski, 28, of Olean, N.Y., and Gina Paoletto, 31, of Olean, N.Y.
Drug possession
ELDRED TWP. – At 3:20 a.m. on Nov. 20, PSP Lewis Run made contact with a vehicle in the 500 block of Route 155 in Eldred Township. The operator, Brad Benjamin, 37, of Rew, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia.
Theft/crime by deception
ELDRED TWP. – PSP Lewis Run report investigating a theft on Prentisvale Road in Eldred Township that occurred between noon on Nov. 13 and noon on Nov. 20. Stolen were Apple gift cards valued at $4,700. The victim was listed as being a 53-yearold Eldred woman. This investigation is ongoing.
Fire accidental
FOSTER TWP. – On Nov. 20 at approximately 6:23 p.m., a fire damaged a residential home located at 512 Interstate Parkway, Bradford Township. The Bradford Township VFD requested the assistance of the PSP Fire Marshal with determining the origin and cause of the fire. The fire was determined to be accidental in nature and was the result of an electrical failure. The residence was insured and the damage is estimated at approximately $200,000. The victim was listed as being Jeffrey Bender, 51, of Bradford.
