State police at Lewis Run Drug possession

BRADFORD CITY – At 8:58 a.m. on March 17, PSP Lewis Run assisted PSP Ridgway in locating a potential suspect in a case. Once the suspect, a 46-year-old Limestone, N.Y. man, was located, he was found to have drugs and drug parapherna­lia on his person. Charges were filed through MDJ 48-1-01.

Domestic incident

MOUNT JEWETT BORO – At 4:28 p.m. on March 18, PSP Lewis Run was dispatched to Phillips Street in Mount Jewett Borough for a report of a domestic in progress. It was determined through the investigat­ion that two known juveniles, a 15-year-old male of Mount Jewett Borough and a 17-year-old female of Eldred, were involved in this incident. This investigat­ion is currently ongoing.

Theft

KEATING TWP. – At 7:19 p.m. on March 18, PSP Lewis Run was notified by Laura Swanson, 45, of Smethport, of a stolen package at 3743 Route 46 in Keating Township. The package was taken some time between 2-2:15 p.m. by a red muddy Chevrolet sedan from Swanson’s flagpole. Stolen were olive-colored hospital scrubs valued at $350.55. Anyone who may have seen or knows anything about this should contact PSP Lewis Run at 814368-9230.

Indecent assault

BOGGS TWP. – At 4:07 p.m. on March 19, PSP Lewis Run responded to reports of an indecent assault on Nichols Road, Boggs Township, Armstrong County. Victims in the incident were listed as being a 14-year-old female of Port Allegany and a 16-year-old female of Port Allegany.

This investigat­ion is ongoing.

Theft by deception – ID theft

KEATING TWP. – At 4:16 p.m. on March 20, PSP Lewis Run was notified by the victim, a 56-year-old Cyclone woman, of an identity theft on Route 59 in Keating Township. The victim provided her informatio­n to a fraudulent Paypal account. PSP warns the public of such possible scams.

Theft by deception – ID theft

MOUNT JEWETT BORO – At 6:14 p.m. on March 20, PSP Lewis Run was contacted by the victim, a 56-year-old Mount Jewett woman, who reported to emails from Chase Bank which stated she had opened a checking account and would be receiving a credit card in the mail. PSP warns the public to be vigilant about such scams.

DUI

BRADFORD CITY – At 12:16 a.m. on March 17, PSP Lewis Run troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Chrysler on S. Davis Street/ Main Street in Bradford City for a summary traffic violation. After further investigat­ion, the operator, a 29-yearold Bradford woman, was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest. The operator was subsequent­ly transporte­d to BRMC for a legal blood draw. Charges are pending lab results.

Drug possession

FOSTER TWP. – At 3:17 a.m. on March 19, PSP Lewis Run troopers conducted a traffic stop on S. Kendall Avenue/looker Mountain Trail in Foster Township for a summary traffic violation. After further investigat­ion, the operator, Lamar Smith, 34, of Erie, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are pending in District Court 48-3-03.
