We all have to live here and do our part to make this a place that we can be proud of. We are happy that we are able to come out and have great support within the community and fellow Rotarians to do this work and to make Mount Jewett as beautiful both, in the Borough limits and the hill to approach if from the Smethport side.” Hughes stated that the Mount Jewett Rotary has been doing if for many years. “It is something we hope to continue doing for our community,” Hughes continued. Hughes said that everyone can be a part of the clean-up by picking litter up. Hughes added, “We are out here doing the big work right now but everybody everyday can do their part to minimize littering to keep the community clean and beautiful.”

“The MJRC is happy to be a steward of the environment. We thank the boy scouts who come every year to help us,” stated Annie Jo Wolfe, President Elect. Wolfe said that they encourage any volunteers and if they are willing to help with the service project the Rotary would be happy to have them. “And also help them learn about Rotary and maybe they will become a member,” Annie Jo Wolfe said. “A lot of give back and a lot of stewardship!”

Rotarian Jeff Wolfe stated he was happy to see the community work together and to have the boy scouts on scene to help.
