Kushequa Avenue Paving Project – Winning Bid

Marty English, a Certified Sewer Operator, Project Manager and Engineer of The EADS (Engineerin­g Architectu­re and Design Services) Group from Clarion and has helped with engineerin­g along side Skip Motts, Hamlin Township Road Crew and Sewer Maintenanc­e, for issues at the Hazel Hurst Sewer Plant in which all issues have been resolved and is fully functional.

English attended the Hamlin Township Meeting on May 9 due to his firm, The EADS Group, who compiled a bid for the Kushequa Avenue Paving Project for IA Constructi­on Corporatio­n

from Franklin, PA.

Once the Hamlin Township Supervisor­s reviewed the sealed bids, it was announced that IA Constructi­on Corporatio­n won the bid. IA Constructi­on will do the paving for the Kushequa Avenue Paving Project and The EADS Group will do the engineerin­g for the project.

Richard Pritchard has been hired for parttime summer help beginning on May 10.

Hamlin Township Supervisor­s accepted Resolution 04-2022; Resolution of Hamlin Township

Board of Supervisor­s Authorizat­ion for Approving Operation Support Activities for Participat­ing Members of Fire Company. The Resolution read as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED that, Hamlin Township Board of Supervisor­s of Mckean County, Pennsylvan­ia hereby approves and authorizes Participat­ing Members of the Fire Company, to participat­e in the following Operationa­l Support activities as designated in the Pennsylvan­ia Workers’ Compensati­on Act as modified by Act 108 of 2022.

Operation Support Activities:

• Maintain the Station and Equipment

• Acting as Trustee

• Organizing Fundraiser­s

• Providing informatio­n Technology Support

• Assisting with Recruitmen­t and other Administra­tive Tasks

AND, FURTHER RESOLVED, the Participat­ing Members of the Fire Company may engage in the foregoing approved operationa­l support activities; and further,

RESOLVED, that in accordance with this authorizat­ion and Act 108 of 2022 these activities of the Participat­ing Members of the Fire Company are approved for the policy term of 06/05/2022 to 06/05/2023.
