KASD - Seneca Highlands Intermedia­te Unit Nine Contract for Support Services Approved for $206,057

KASD Board of School Directors approved the appointmen­t of Stapleford and Byham, LLC for general legal services through the 2022-2023 fiscal year, Brooks and Rhoads, CPA for accounting services, and Dr. Larry Sarginer as school doctor for 2022-2023 at the Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Resignatio­ns from Kelly Jonson as Middle School Student Council Advisor, Ron Hallberg as Custodial Cleaner, and Adrielle Sigler as Part-time Paraprofes­sional was approved. “Mr. Hallberg is going to be sorely missed. He will be hard to replace. I thank him for all his years in service,” stated KASD School Board of Directors, John Lorenzo.

The Board of School Directors approved the increase to the Athletic Director’s compensati­on to $8,000 for the 2022-2023 year, the Non-bargaining Salary Increases for the year 2022-2023, the voluntary transfer of Raeel Whitman from Middle school to High School Health & Physical Education Teacher, the transfer of Hali Songer as Elementary Teacher to Middle School Math Teacher.

The Food Service Management Company renewal for 2022-2023 with The Nutrition Group was approved.

Major Thomas Kerek was appointed as Board Treasurer for a one-year term with the bond and compensati­on amounts remaining the same.

The Board motioned and approved the 20232023 Proposed Operating Budget for the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center, the 2022-2023 Seneca Highlands Intermedia­te Unit Nine Contract for Support Services in the amount of $206,057, and approved the Boardcerti­fied Behavior Analyst Services Agreement contracted with Seneca Highlands IU9.

The Virtual Academy Services Agreement with the Warren County School District for the 2022-2023 school year was approved by the Board.

The Board of School Directors approved the Educationa­l and Lunch Agreement with Dickinson Center, Inc. Partial Hospitaliz­ation Program-crossroads with no changes from the previous year.

The Dickinson Center Mental Health Specialist Services contract for both the Elementary and Middle-high Schools at $3,834 a month was also approved.

The AVEANNA Healthcare, the 20222023 Agreements with CARE for Children to provide Occupation­al

and Physical Therapy services, the Guidance Center Coordinati­on of Care Agreement, The Guidance Center’s Project RAPPORT, and the agreement with Dr. Andrew Kayes were approved by the Board.

J Casas Profession­al Services presented a contract that was approved by the Board in the amount of $5,000 to provide a keynote speaker in August 2022.

A bid for $12,603.18 for Phys Ed & Sports and a bid from Science Bid of $5,395.83 were approved. Another bid from the Seneca Highlands CO-OP Bids of $53,386.97 was accepted.
