Accident
CORYDON TWP (MCKEAN) - On January 27, 2024 at 12:30 a.m., PSP Lewis Run were dispatched to the scene of an accident. The crash occurred as Jodi Switzer, 61, of Rew, PA driving a 2010 Toyota Venza was traveling west on Rt. 59 when she lost control and left the road into the south shoulder striking the ditch/embankment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Donovan's Towing. No injuries were reported.
Accident
Wetmore TWP (MCKEAN) - On January 28, 2024 at 10:29 p.m., PSP Lewis Run were dispatched to Rt. 6W near Township Line Rd. The crash occurred as Karissa Losey, 28, of Sheffield, PA driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan was traveling west on Rt. 6 and lost control and crossed over the eastbound lane and struck a tree off the south side of the road. The vehicle came to rest off the south side of the road facing west. No injuries were reported.
Possession Unstamped Cigarette
SERGEANT TWP (MCKEAN) - On January 29, 2024 at 7:29 p.m., PSP Lewis Run were on patrol at Rt. 219/Halsey Rd. when they observed a Title 75 violation and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon further investigation it was determined that Charles Welsh, 59, of Millmont, PA driving a 2018 Chevy Cruze was in possession of eight cartons of unstamped cigarettes. Charges to be filed through MDJ 48-3-04.
DUI
BRADFORD CITY (MCKEAN) - On January 29, 2024 at 8:56 p.m., PSP Lewis Run were on patrol at Rt. 219S/N. Kendall Ave. when they observed a traffic violation and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon further investigation Jonathan Astolos, 24, of Saltsburg, PA driving a 2020 GMC Terrain was placed under arrest for DUIDRUG. Charges were filed through MDJ 48-1-01.
Drug Possession
SERGEANT TWP (MCKEAN) - On February 1, 2024 at 8:24 p.m., PSP Lewis Run were on patrol at Rt. 219/Burning Well Rd. when they observed a Title 75 violation and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon further investigation it was determined the operator was in possession of unstamped cigarettes. The passenger was found to be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and unstamped cigarettes. Charges to be filed against Kristen States, 50, of Punxsutawney, PA and Jon States, 52, of Punxsutawney, PA through MDJ 48-3-04.
Dog Law/non-animal Cruelty
LEWIS RUN BORO (MCKEAN) - On February 3, 2024 at 4:43 p.m., PSP Lewis Run responded to Cam Hay Dr. for a dog law violation. A nontraffic citation was filed against Andrew Bailey, 32, of Lewis Run, PA through District Court 48-3-04.
