Boys have great showing in tri-meet
KANE - The Kane Wolves boys track team had a great showing in their last meet of the season. The Wolves played host to a trimeet with Johnsonburg and Elk County Catholic.
The relay teams swept the events while Sam Lundeen, Doug Haight and Tysin Boschert each doubled to lead the way. Lundeen won the high jump and long jump, Haight won the 100m and 200m dash and Boschert won the 110m hurdles and the triple jump. Also, claiming first in their events were Ethan Illerbrun, Connor Brown and Mason Geer. Illerbrun won the 800m run, Brown the shot put and Geer the javelin. Also, scoring points for the Wolves were Dawson Snyder, Mason Merry and Nate Mccormack 2, 3 and 4 in the 100m dash. Brayden Byham 2nd and Layne Anderson 4th in the 400m run. Boschert 2nd in the 300m hurdles. Brayden Cannella 4th in the 800m run. Snyder 2nd in the 200m dash. Patric Dinger and Nathan Rook 3rd and 4th in the 3200m run. Mccormack 2nd in the high jump. Brown and Camden Ray 2nd and 3rd in the discus and Mccormack and Chase Hultman 3rd and 4th in the long jump.
The Wolves now set their sites on the District Championships which will be held Friday, May 17 at Brookville High School with a scheduled start of 1 p.m.
