Question: We spilt some juice on the floor in the kitchen, within minutes we had tiny ants and there were no signs of them before? Answer: They were probably common little Black Ants. They live year round somewhere in your house. We use safe baits to control them. It’s too hard to find their nest so baits are the answer. Question: When is a good time of the year to treat for grubs, we had so many last year so I want to get ahead? Answer: The soil will warm up in the next few weeks and that triggers the larvae to start working. That’s a good time to control them You may have to do more than one treatment. If you have pets and children take great care to get a safe organic product. Question: My neighbor throws bird seeds on the ground I see this as encouraging rats, I have spoken to her about it and all she says the birds and squirrels will eat them up? Answer: The birds will eat most of the seeds and the Rats will eat the rest. Even using bird feeders spills enough seeds for Rats. Show her my comment and ask her to call me if she wants proof. David 401 315 2400. Question: We had a dead bat on our windowsill, is this the start of the season and does it mean we have others maybe inside the house? Answer: If this is recent activity it’s because the Bat has accidentally woken up early. They need warmer air and bugs to be active. It’s a bit early now. Question: We have trees in-between us and the neighbor’s house which need cutting back, who is responsible for this as it is an apartment building next door and they do not clean up their yard and the landlord does not live there? Answer: If the branches are overhanging you property you may ct them back to the property line but you must return the trimmings to your neighbor. But, why not hav a friendly word with the Landlord? Question: Is it too early to get a flea and tick treatment as we still find it cold?
Answer:
They usually come out of dormancy around the 6th February. A treatment now will help control the future population. It’s a really good idea to get them before the multiply and become a problem. Question: I recently purchased a small restaurant and even though it is very clean we have cockroaches. I have been reading up on them, had no idea that they are a serious threat to human health. I do suffer with asthma, plus they spread E.coli and salmonella through their feces and saliva? Answer: They are almost always accidentally introduced into homes and restaurants. Now matter how clean your place may be there’s still enough food for them. They are a real health hazard. You should call asap and get professional help to control them before they get out of control. Question: Why do Beech trees develop green bands then the leave curl up? Answer: Probably it’s Beech Leaf Disease. If left untreated your tree will die. David has developed a unique treatment that is helping to slow down the disease and hopefully cure it.
