Santa arrives in Rock Hall by boat
ROCK HALL — Accompanied by the Kent County Community Marching Band on Saturday night, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus walk down Main Street to Santa’s house after arriving in Rock Hall by boat at the Bayside Avenue bulkhead. The pair also participated in the lighting of the Rock Hall Community Crab Basket Christmas Tree, which is now two trees comprising 208 hand-painted baskets.
One of the featured attractions in Rock Hall on Saturday night is an illuminated Christmas tree of hand-painted crab baskets. The project was started three years ago as a tribute to loved ones who had passed away. Now there are two trees with a total of 208 crab baskets.

Rock Hall now boasts two crab basket Christmas trees, comprised of 162 renewed baskets (above) and 46 new baskets. The project was started three years ago as a tribute to loved ones who had passed away. Proceeds benefit the town’s recreation committee.
